Viewing LAN IP addresses?

Apple decided for you about 3 years ago that you do not need to see the IP addresses of connected devices on your LAN when they introduced the 6.x version of AirPort Utility for Mac and AirPort Utility for iOS.

Yes you can, in a slightly odd way.

1. Open AirPort Utility
2. Click on the icon for your Airport Extreme
3. In the pop-out area that lists your devices by name, click the one that you want information about (including IP)

Only wireless clients .. nothing connected by ethernet will show.. and the results are inconsistent.. with details not always showing correctly.

I never thought about it but it's possible that my hosts show up by name instead of MAC in the pop out as a result of being reservations in DHCP.
